David LeeCEO - AppHarvest, Impossible Foods, Zynga
David is the Chair and CEO of Inevitable Tech Inc., a private company pioneering technology and plant science to serve the agriculture and food industries. David is also an independent Board and Audit Committee Member at Zevia PBC, a public benefit corporation and designated Certified B Corporation, that offers a broad portfolio of zero sugar, zero calorie, naturally sweetened beverages to address the global health impacts of excess sugar consumption. David also is Audit Chair of Benson Hill, which is tapping nature’s genetic diversity to fuel healthier and more sustainable food and ingredient options to benefit farmers, food companies, and consumers. David also is a Board Member of AppHarvest, a leading AgTech and sustainable food company leveraging cutting-edge technology to build some of the country’s largest indoor farms.
Previously, David was COO & CFO of Impossible Foods, Inc., a Khosla Ventures, Horizons Ventures, and Bill Gates-backed company that has created a new generation of delicious and sustainable meats and cheeses made entirely from plants. Its mission is to give people all the pleasure of animal products without the negative health and environmental impacts. From 2015-2019, he led the business functions to transform Impossible from pre-revenue to hyper-growth, with global sales and complete commercial manufacturing and supply chain capabilities. David successfully grew Impossible from pre-revenue to over $300M of annualized revenue run rate with double digit annual growth. As its CFO from 2015 to 2021, David raised over $1.35 billion in equity and debt to fund commercialization.SHOW MORE
Prior to Impossible Foods, David was the CFO of Zynga (ZNGA), a $2.3 billion public company, where he led the company’s finance and corporate development teams. During his tenure, he helped lead Zynga from majority web-based to mobile (by Q3 2015, 69% of Zynga’s business was mobile versus 36% when he joined the company), driving mobile topline growth over 80% in one year (2014 vs. 2013). David delivered several quarters exceeding topline and bottom-line guidance, and also delivered the first quarter of positive net income since 2013. Prior to Zynga, David led corporate finance for Best Buy during its turnaround in 2012-2014.
From 2004-2012, David held senior roles at Del Monte Foods, where he led the take-private transaction of Del Monte to KKR for $5.5 billion, delivering over 40% return to shareholders. His prior experience includes leading the $2 billion topline brands at Del Monte Foods as SVP of Consumer Products, and at various points leading strategic planning, government relations, corporate communications and financial planning.
He also has worked on strategy consulting at McKinsey, venture capital investing, advertising at the Leo Burnett Company, and PG&E’s turnaround during the California Energy Crisis.
David is a Fellow at the Council of Korean Americans (CKA), based in Washington, D.C. and a Fellow of the Network of Korean American Leaders (NetKAL).
David received his MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA from Harvard College. He resides in San Mateo, California, with his wife and two daughters.
Nikki MostafaviCFO - Impossible Foods, Zynga, Levis
Nikki Mostafavi is Inevitable’s CFO. Prior to Inevitable, Nikki was Vice President of Finance at Iron Ox, an early stage ag tech company; and prior to that, Nikki was VP of Finance at Impossible Foods where, as Impossible’s first finance hire, Nikki built the Finance function, established the Treasury function and led implementation of SAP. Prior to Impossible, Nikki led FP&A at Zynga (first social gaming app on Facebook) and established all financial practices during Zynga’s transition from a startup to a public company after its IPO in 2012.
Previously, Nikki held various positions at Levis Strauss where she was responsible for financial planning for both wholesale and retail divisions, and was an integral part of the team that established Levis as a retailer. Nikki received her Master in Finance from Johns Hopkins University and her BA in Biology from University of Denver.SHOW MORE

Lucianne (Luci) Kempton is Inevitable’s Senior Vice President of Operations. Prior to Inevitable, Luci was Director of Operations responsible for all greenhouse operations (5 acres) at Iron Ox, an ag tech company. Before Iron Ox, Luci held engineering and operations roles at GlaxoSmithKline, where she designed, constructed, commissioned, and launched a new oncology manufacturing suite. Previously, Luci worked for Procter & Gamble’s in its consumer manufacturing division, where she led lean manufacturing improvements across the cosmetics portfolio.
Earlier in her career, Luci gained operational experience at Johnson & Johnson in its over-the-counter medicine manufacturing operations, and in chemical refineries at Koppers, Inc. Luci received her MBA from Villanova University and her BS in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from University of Pittsburgh.SHOW MORE

Myra Pasek is Inevitable’s CLO and Head of Public Affairs, Strategic Communications & People Ops. She previously was General Counsel and first lawyer at Iron Ox, an ag tech startup. Before Iron Ox, Myra was GC of Ouster, a digital lidar company (advanced computer vision sensors with applications in advanced robotics and security), which she took from its nascent stage through IPO in 2021.
Myra previously was General Counsel and a key member of senior leadership at Impossible Foods, following her years with Tesla, where she held senior legal and communications roles on two continents. She previously practiced law at Latham & Watkins, Orrick, and K&L Gates. Myra received her JD from Northwestern University, and a BS in business and political science from University of Minnesota.SHOW MORE
Paty RomeroVice President, Plant Science - Bowery Farming, Koppert Cress, Dupont Pioneer
Paty Romero is Inevitable’s Vice President of Plant Science. Previously, Paty led the Plant Science team at Iron Ox, an ag tech startup, where she was responsible for all aspects of crop development and optimization from seed selection to harvest. Before joining Iron Ox, Paty was the Head of Growing Operations at Bowery Farming. She served as the liaison between R&D and Production Operations. Paty was a key member of the team that launched Bowery’s first production facility and played an important role in supporting the development of Bowery’s second facility.
Before Bowery Farming, Paty was Greenhouse Manager at Koppert Cress, a Dutch company specializing in microgreens and edible flowers. At Koppert, she led the New Crop Development department and supported the day-to-day operations. Earlier in her career, Paty worked for Dupont Pioneer, where she gained experience in plant breeding and genetics. Paty received her Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Purdue University in 2016.SHOW MORE
Lucas RamadanHead of Software & Data - Play Bigger, USDA, Enjoy Technology Inc
Lucas Ramadan is Inevitable’s Head of Software and Data. Prior to Inevitable, Lucas was Software and Data Manager at Iron Ox, an agtech startup, where he was responsible for the buildout of farm management, data instrumentation and crop modeling solutions. Previously, Lucas was Lead Data Scientist at Enjoy Technology, where he embedded machine learning in product and software development. Alongside Finance and Operations, he produced demand forecasts and execution simulations that assessed business model implications leading up to Enjoy’’s IPO in 2021.
Prior to Enjoy, he earned his Masters in Data Science from the University of New Haven, during which he developed expertise in deep learning, predicting protein structure for his thesis, as well as researching IPO success for Play Bigger’s book publishing. Before attending graduate school, Lucas worked as a Synthetic Chemist in the US Department of Agriculture, evaluating biodegradable polymer additives. Tom KendallVP of Engineering - Apple, Matternet, iAutomation
Tom Kendall is Inevitable's Vice President of Engineering. Previously, he joined Iron Ox, an ag tech company, in January of 2019 at its seed stage, and for four years led the design and development of Iron Ox’s innovative hardware and electromechanical systems. Before joining Iron Ox, he managed hardware engineering at Matternet, a drone delivery company. At Matternet, he designed several generations of the M2 drone platform, the first commercial UAV to attain an FAA type certification in the US.
Previously, he worked on global scale manufacturing at Apple, developing proprietary manufacturing processes across multiple generations of the iPhone product line. Before Apple, Tom held roles at companies in the industrial automation, semiconductor, and motorsports industries. Matt HoernerVP of Business Operations - Iron Ox, Flex, Amazon
Matt Hoerner is Inevitable’s Vice President of Business Operations. Prior to Inevitable, Matt led Supply Chain Operations as Senior Director for Iron Ox, an agtech startup, where he supported both grow and robotic operations. Before joining Iron Ox, Matt was Director of Strategic Supply Chain at Flex, a global electronics manufacturing company. There he was responsible for key customer relationships within Flex's technology, industrial & energy segment.
His work spanned strategic, tactical and P&L responsibilities within the end-to-end manufacturing supply chain. His work was focused around structuring and enabling scaling business to gain market share. Earlier in his career Matt worked as a project engineer in the construction industry working on healthcare and higher education projects gaining experience in operations. Matt received his MBA, MS in Engineering and BS in Engineering from Penn State.SHOW MORE
